Storing Metal Dies and GIVEAWAY TIME!!!

Monthly Sneak Peek | Tuesday 3 December 2013 11:35 pm

After my post in which I used my cuttlebug to emboss some of my Project Life cards, I got asked if I used Spellbinders dies with my cuttlebug and more importantly … How I store them! Well, that is a VERY good question ladies!

Personally, I LOVE spellbinders dies. I have a LOT and at first I was very stumped on how to store them! And since I love to use what I have ( if I can) to store things… I came up with a great way to organize and store my metal dies!

I started off with an old album that I wasn’t using and I cut down cereal boxes to the page size and inserted to make the pages more sturdy. Then ( because the cereal boxes were ugly, I inserted a piece of paper to make it look pretty.IMG_2334

Next I bought a roll of adhesive magnet from Joann’s for 3.99$ and simply applied the magnet in strips to the pages ( according to where the metal dies would lay) and WA-LA!IMG_2333

Lastly, I cut out one of each of the shapes to use as labels so that I could see what die set it was and what the finished look was for that shape.

The metal of the dies sticks nicely to the magnets and I can store all my dies neatly in one little album!  This method works great and I can see all the different sized dies at one time, which makes it easy to use with my PL projects!

All in all this turned out to be a quick and cheap way to store my dies in an organized manner!  I hope that helps all of those that were interested!

I would like to giveaway one of my very favorite Christmas time Dies from Spellbinders.

It is SO cute and the ornaments are great for Project life cards!

Hi there ~ Margaret Spencer in Suffolk, VA. What a great way to keep track of the dies. Using what’s on hand is so thrifty and sometimes work better that a packaged item from the craft stores. This blog is incredibly helpful to me; I always pick up a tip as I am relatively new to this. I journal a lot and am interested in creative ways to include the journaling. Thanks for such a super giveaway. Merry, merry!
